 | Fun To Grow Collection Pack: My Pet's Food Sow your seeds: Broccoli April-May, Dandelion April-May, Carrot March-July.Sow your pet foods direct outside in the garden, where you want your 'pets patch' to be. Dig and rake the soil until it is fine and 'crumbly'. Make a groove in the soil with a rake (or your fingers!) about 13mm (½") deep and sprinkle your dandelion seed thinly along the row. Do the same for the carrot, but allow 25-30cm (10-12") between rows. Allow another 38cm (15") and do the same for your broccoli. You can then carefully rake soil over all three rows and water them gently. When your seedlings emerge gently tease out spare ones to leave your dandelions 25cm (10") apart, carrots 38-50cm (1½-2"), and broccoli 38cm (15") apart. Grow the plants on. Pick leaves of dandelion as required. As the carrots grow you can use both the tops and orange roots. When the green heads form on the broccoli you can use both these and the leaves. Care of your plants: space carrots 15cm (6") apart and broccoli 38cm (15") apart. Make sure to pick dandelion flower heads to keep the plant's energy going to the root and leaf production.Look inside for the pets fun facts and wordsearch.Pick your pet food: Broccoli September-November, Dandelion July-October, Carrot May-November.Click here to see more growing information on Fun To Grow Collection Pack: My Pet's Food.. .
